Birdie Club Membership Terms & Conditions

Birdie Heating & Cooling’s Birdie Club provides annual maintenance, member savings, and repair warranty benefits for the equipment enrolled in your selected plan. These terms explain your membership benefits, billing, and coverage.

1. Membership term, pricing, and billing

Basic: $189 annually. Basic is billed annually only. Premium: $249 annually or 12 monthly installments of $20.75.

The membership term is one year, beginning on the start date listed in your enrollment agreement. Monthly payments are installments of the annual membership price, not a month-to-month subscription. Membership does not renew automatically; renewal must be completed manually.

Your enrollment agreement identifies covered equipment, selected add-ons, membership dates, total charges, and payment schedule. Additional equipment, selected services, and applicable travel surcharges increase the total price. Payment may be made by credit/debit card kept on file; ACH options are also available. A valid payment method must remain on file for monthly installments.

2. Covered equipment and annual maintenance

The base plan covers one enrolled furnace-and-AC system at the service property. A heat pump and air handler may be enrolled at the same plan price. For a home with an AC/air handler and a boiler, boiler maintenance is a separate add-on. Additional systems and specialty equipment require separate coverage or a selected add-on.

Both plans include annual furnace maintenance and annual AC or heat pump maintenance for the applicable enrolled equipment. Your enrollment agreement identifies the equipment and maintenance included.

Heating and cooling maintenance may be completed during the same appointment or scheduled separately, including in homes with multiple systems. Membership provides the listed maintenance services, not a guaranteed number of separate visits.

If included maintenance remains unused, contact the office to arrange completion of the remaining service or request a credit for that service. Maintenance is preventive care and does not guarantee equipment will remain free of breakdowns. Repairs outside included maintenance require separate approval and payment unless covered by a stated benefit or warranty.

3. Scheduling and priority service

Basic and Premium members receive priority scheduling and access to member promotions. Appointment availability depends on technician schedules, weather, parts availability, and the nature of the request. Priority scheduling does not guarantee immediate arrival or completion within a specific timeframe. Customers must provide safe, reasonable access to enrolled equipment.

4. Repair discounts and combining offers

Active Basic members receive 5% off service repairs. Active Premium members receive 10% off service repairs. Applicable discounts will be shown on the repair estimate before work begins. Member discounts, promotions, credits, and other offers may be combined, including eligible Birdie Bucks. Each benefit remains subject to its own eligibility requirements and limits.

5. Parts-and-labor repair warranty

Basic: one year. Premium: two years. Coverage begins on the original date Birdie installs the replacement part. If that same part fails again within the applicable warranty period, Birdie will repair or replace it and provide the associated labor at no additional charge under this warranty. There is no $250 coverage cap.

This covers the replaced part and labor needed to address its covered repeat failure, not the entire heating or cooling system. Refrigerant is excluded. Damage to other components caused by failure of the replaced part is excluded from this Birdie Club warranty. Unrelated component failures are not covered.

The warranty runs from the original repair/installation date. A subsequent repair, part replacement, or membership renewal does not restart or extend that period.

Active membership is required. A four-month grace period after membership expiration is allowed to maintain eligibility through renewal. Membership must be renewed on-site before a warranty claim is honored during that grace period. The original part warranty expiration date still applies.

Birdie must inspect the equipment to determine whether the issue involves the covered replacement part. The service-call fee is waived when the failure is covered by this warranty. For a different failure, the service-call fee is billable unless an unused, qualifying Premium service-call benefit applies. Work outside coverage will be explained and quoted before proceeding. Separate manufacturer warranties and rights provided by applicable law remain unaffected.

6. Premium service-call benefit

Premium includes one service-call fee waiver per active agreement during each membership year when Birdie completes the associated repair during regular service hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. For an eligible after-hours repair, a $119 credit is applied to the total invoice instead. This is one benefit, used either during regular hours or after hours, and it resets with each renewal.

The benefit applies only to the system enrolled under that agreement. Recommended repairs found during maintenance must be completed to qualify. If a recommended repair is documented and declined, the free service-call benefit cannot be honored.

The associated repair must be completed to receive the waiver or credit. A diagnostic visit without a completed repair does not qualify. The benefit covers the service-call charge or credit, not the repair itself.

7. Premium after-hours repair rates

Premium members receive regular repair rates for after-hours repairs. Holiday rates and supply-house opening fees are excluded. A supply-house opening fee may apply when a supplier opens outside normal hours to provide a part. The $119 service-call credit applies only when the member qualifies for the benefit in Section 6 and Birdie completes the repair.

8. Premium replacement savings and Birdie Bucks

Replacement savings: $250 toward an enrolled furnace replacement and $250 toward an enrolled AC replacement, for up to $500 per membership year. The furnace and AC may be replaced together or separately within that membership year. Each equipment credit may be used once during the term. This benefit resets with renewal; unused credits do not accumulate or transfer.

Birdie Bucks: Up to $100 per membership year toward one eligible indoor air quality installation by Birdie, such as a humidifier, air cleaner, or air purifier. Birdie Bucks are an in-house deduction, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred. They are use-it-or-lose-it, do not accumulate or roll over, and any unused portion after the single purchase is not available for another purchase. The benefit resets with renewal.

Eligible benefits may be combined with other discounts, promotions, and credits. Applicable savings will be shown on the installation proposal.

9. Additional systems, add-ons, and travel surcharge

Additional Premium systems receive a $24 discount per additional Premium agreement. Discounted maintenance add-ons may be available for water heaters, ductless systems, boilers, hanging heaters, humidifiers, filtration, and UV equipment. Add-ons apply only when selected and listed in the enrollment agreement.

A $24 annual travel surcharge, or $2 per monthly installment where monthly billing is available, applies to homes more than 15 driving miles from our shop at 1750 Cumberland Pkwy, Algonquin, IL 60102. Distance is measured using the shortest available driving route to the service address in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

The travel surcharge is charged once per home. For multi-system homes, it is added to only one maintenance agreement. All selected add-ons and applicable surcharges will be disclosed before enrollment.

10. Cancellation and remaining balance

You may cancel at any time by calling (224) 406-0150. Contact the office to arrange cancellation and review any remaining balance.

For early cancellation, the membership settlement is the lesser of:

  1. The value of maintenance already completed at $134 per tune-up, plus membership discounts and credits received during the current membership term, minus membership payments already made; or

  2. The unpaid balance of the annual membership price.

The settlement will not be less than $0. Separately authorized services or repairs that have not been paid remain due in addition. Payments already made are credited in the calculation. A final cancellation settlement is not charged in addition to the remaining membership installments for the same term.

Example: After six Premium monthly payments, you have paid $124.50. If both tune-ups have been completed, their value is $268. Subtracting payments leaves $143.50 before any member discounts received. The unpaid annual membership balance is $124.50, so the membership cancellation settlement is the lower amount: $124.50, plus any separately authorized unpaid work.

Birdie may reduce or waive a cancellation settlement at its discretion. For unused included maintenance, contact the office to request a credit or completion of the remaining service as described in Section 2. Any cancellation rights or refunds required by applicable law remain available.
