After we were told by Perfect Home Services that we needed TWO new furnaces (ours are 11 years old) and you fixed them them for $500 last year, our furnaces have never worked better. I received a response instantly when I told the crew at Birdie Heating and Cooling that my boiler system wasn't heating properly. Within an hour, (I think it was literally about 10 minutes)and because the economy is not the best for all Americans the last few years, money was tight, and they were more than understanding, and accommodating. The work is superb, we had our heat break on the coldest day of the year last January, and without hesitation, they came to my house, and fixed it, so this was my second experience with them. If I could rate higher than the 5 stars, I would without a single second thought. We are moving in the next 6 months, and I will absolutely have then in our new home for our HVAC needs, and I will definitely tell the new owner of the house I sell that there is no reason to even entertain the possibility of anyone else, period. I highly recommend these young men, they answered every single question I had, and, covered any that I would have had, and, I'm Italian, and a talker, so they were very patient with me, and genuinely interested at putting our minds at ease, without a doubt. I will say that they are the best service I have ever had, overall, not just HVAC, over any electricians, plumbers, etc...they blow everyone out of the water. Very happy with this furnace/AC replacement, from the quote phase through install. Nathan came out and spent time listening and explaining our options, and answered my numerous questions, then presented multiple proposal options the next day. Nathan and his team were on time, very thorough, got the job done on time and on budget and cleaned up after themselves when the job was done, it was really quite effortless on my part. I had some time constraints on when I needed the job done by and Nathan managed to work the job into his schedule such that it matched our timing perfectly. Highly recommend…On one of the hottest days of the summer and a Saturday , our AC was not functioning properly. Birdie and the crew were responsive, timely and efficient. They arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the issue, fixed it without attempting to upsell us on unnecessary services or equipment. They were polite, respectful, taking care of business and cleaning up after themselves. This is our second time using their services(furnace). You won’t be disappointed.

We had a well known company install a full system and they failed to register our equipment. Within 5 years, the coil starting leaking refrigerant, without a warranty, it was a huge problem. We had Birdie replace our AC and coil, and I couldn't be happier! The equipment works incredibly well, and Nathan made it clear he would personally register our equipment to actually have the 10 year manufacturer warranty. Very professional, communication, and a great price!

Nathan, the owner of Birdie Heating and Cooling is a wonderful young man. He cares about his product, his reputation and most of all his customers. Nathan came over on Sunday (at no extra charge) as my furnace had stopped working. He determined that I had a faulty heat exchange. Nathan sat with me and not only explained all of my options but also told me about his journey and education in the HVAC industry. Rather than mess with replacing the exchange I chose a new furnace (old one was 14 years old and had a few issues). Nathan and his associate where here Monday morning and installed a new furnace. I highly recommend Birdie Heating & Cooling. On the coldest day of the year so far our heater broke overnight. Around 7AM I called the business owner Nathan. He was quick to respond and within a few hours found which piece was broken, found us a new piece, and replaced it that same morning. By the afternoon we had our heating back. I tried contacting a couple of different HVAC companies and I couldn’t get any of them to call me back so I went on ChatGPT and I put in key words honest, trusting and affordable HVAC companies near Algonquin IL and Birdie heating and cooling popped up. I made the call and spoke with Michael who didn’t hesitate to listen to what I was looking for in service. He booked the appointment and also gave me head’s up notice when he was on his way for service so I could leave work in time to meet him. I was a little shocked when he came to my door because he looked so young but he was very polite, professional and listened to what I was looking to get done. Turned out I needed a part but Michael gave me options and never pressured me into buying the part. After answering all my questions I decided to have him install the part since his pricing was very affordable. After he was finished he answered more of my questions and explained some options on how I can save money. Never once was there any pressure to buy more than what was needed. He explained to me what his and the owner Nathan’s goal were in achieving customer satisfaction. It was really refreshing to hear and see this type values still exist. I called Nathan for a furnace inspection and cleaning. He showed up on time and he was very professional ! Later that afternoon my furnace was acting up , I called Nathan again. He ran and got parts and showed up in the evening. He stayed until the job was completed. Thank God he thought of picking up an extra blower motor. The first Motor he installed was defective from the manufacture. For a young guy he thinks ahead and is extremely knowledgeable . I highly recommend him! A+++.

Nathan and Michael saved the day for me and my family! Our A/C decided to go out on some of the hottest days of the summer yet. They knew what we needed and drove same day (2+hours) to get the part that we needed. As a mom of 3 kiddos (one with Autism) I was very impressed with how quick and efficient they were. They even offered to bring us fans the night before. They now have a customer for life and if anyone is looking for a great company with great people this is the one!

Nathan and Makenna are great to work with. They presented the most detailed proposal and all work to be done was documented. Nathan was the only person who entered details of our house in a computer program which sized our house perfectly. Everyone else just looked at the existing A/C unit and recommended the same size. Had my 26 year old 5 ton AC unit replaced on 5/12/24. Nathan and his assistant arrived early morning and started work right away. Very professional and efficient, they worked continually until the job was done, about 7 hours later. Their workmanship was excellent; very detail oriented and tested the system multiple times to ensure a trouble-free service life. They even identified a problem with my water heater that saved me from a potential disaster. After the installation, they cleaned up the work area better than they found it. They were also very responsive to my questions, I learned a lot. Out of 5 quotes I received, Birdie had the best product at the best price. The others tried to over-sell unit tonnage, but Nathan's recommendations for a 3.5 ton were spot on and now I have an AC unit that makes my house feel like the Arctic.

He provided me with an excellent explanation of a solution for the furnace problems I have been experiencing for the past several years. AC died and they were able to come in and replace everything very quickly! Gave very thorough details about each option presented to me for what I was looking for. They did a load calculation and didn't wing it by just looking at existing units like others have done. Nathan and Michael (apologies for misspelling) were absolutely wonderful. Our experience was great. During the initial meeting for the quote (Tuesday) Nathan called back from the initial call in less than two hours, was at my home within four, was kind and courteous and spoke to both myself and my husband equally, which is a huge deal. We communicated clearly what we were looking for and he did his utmost to meet it. My husband and I agreed to hire him almost immediately, we just needed a couple more pieces of information. Nathan came out again Wednesday to verify final numbers and communicated throughout the week answering anything else and booking the time. Install did take all day (spacing, installing the furnace and humidifier) showing us how to check everything. Nathan and Michael made sure everything was up and running, walked us through every step, and dealt with me checking in every hour or so (I struggle with severe anxiety so it was a big deal they were so kind). My husband and I are of the same mind, they just got lifetime customers. Thank you for making our emergency a priority.
